• Use for web-based campus services which require the VPN from off campus and can be accessed directly from vpn.gatech.edu (clientless) https://vpn.gatech.edu/global-protect/login.esp

GlobalProtect App is a VPN client softawre that is installed on your computer.

Getting Started Using the VPN

GlobalProtect is a Client and Clientless based remote access VPN solution by Palo Alto Networks. This is a high capacity, high performance VPN solution that that is designed to serve the Georgia Tech community.

Install the VPN Client

Windows

• How to install the GlobalProtect VPN Client for Windows
• Enter vpn.gatech.edu for portal address

Linux

• How to install the GlobalProtect VPN Client for Ubuntu 22.04, 20.04 Linux

• Download the Linux VPN client from https://vpn.gatech.edu

• Extract the file (e.g. PanGPLinux-6.2.8-c2) and cd into the folder

sudo apt install libqt5webkit5 libqt5networkauth5

• Install the GlobalProtect cliend .deb

sudo dpkg -i GlobalProtect_UI_deb-*.deb

• Enter vpn.gatech.edu then your credentials
